Characteristic: "as Sweet as the Salt ". More than 200 million years ago, during the Jurassic era, the eruption of the volcanoes in North America contributed to the drying up of the seas. From the consequent evaporation of sea water today we can extract -from the subsoil- the salt of Utah, which comes from the primordial seas. Indeed, it is the same salt as it was hundreds of million years ago, containing all the minerals and trace elements that are essential in life. Pure and uncontaminated, its colour comes from minerals of the volcanic ashes. In cooking, it is a generous salt, soft or salty but never bitter. Most American Chefs love using it to enhance flavours in their dishes.
Composition: rock salt.
Recommendations: delicious on toasted bread with butter, sauces, soups, jacket potatoes, fish and meat. It gives natural beauty and it brings joy to the table.
