HAWAIIAN RED SALT

Characteristics: traditional Hawaiian cooking table salt. Its name came from natural red volcanic clay, which gives the salt its particular colour. Rich in iron and minerals, it has a pronounced flavour along with a light hazelnut aroma.
Composition: marine and Hawaiian Red clay salt (Alaea 1%).
Recommendations: on grilled meats, roasted lamb and pork, barbecue meat; best in salting butter with fine herbs and fresh cheeses. Expert chefs garnish important dishes with this salt.
